ZAMBIA ALLIANCE OF WOMEN (ZAW) is a women led membership, non-governmental organization formed in 1978 and registered in 1982 to promote the themes of equality, development and peace in Zambia. ZAW's mission is to empower women to take charge of their lives through promotion of gender equity & equality, environmental sustainability and social justice so that the right to a healthy life is enjoyed by the present and future generations

ZAW has in the recent past worked very well in facilitating interactions and engagement between its grassroots members with Government, Private Sector and other key stakeholders such as Civil Society Organizations and Traditional leaders. ZAW members have also successfully embarked on social accountability.
